The school ethos fosters the belief that students learn best when they are recognised and valued as individual, social people. The school has extensive grounds and pleasant buildings. The classrooms are quiet work environments that are sound-proofed and air conditioned.
The teaching and learning programs in the school focus on providing the students with sound foundational learning resulting in independent learners and thinkers, ready for life beyond the school gates. Learning occurs when the teaching is appropriate and purposeful and challenges the students. School learning programs place an emphasis on learning competencies so that the students make appropriate decisions through problem solving within collaborative and cooperative group organisations.
There is a strong emphasis on student welfare and social skills training to support the students understanding and knowledge of good communication, safety, friendship and feeling skills. Kyeemagh Public School is a small school, with a strong community focus.
